We hope this information finds you well and that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.
The year 2020 has certainly been a challenging year for us all, so we wanted to reach out and keep all our valued Tomorrow’s Stars Basketball family informed on the impact of these recent events, our current status as a business and our future moving forward.
For 20 years the physical health and wellbeing of the Tomorrow’s Stars Basketball community has been, and continues to remain, our highest priority. We’ve weathered challenging times before but in the wake of the unprecedented impact of COVID-19, we’ve had to make some extremely difficult decisions this year.
The first wave of COVID-19 resulted in an immediate suspension of all our basketball programs as we went into the first lock down and began to contemplate life in the wake of a pandemic of a scale not seen during our lifetimes. As it has for us all, COVID-19 unexpectedly hitting earlier this year has greatly affected the way that we live and the ability for Tomorrow’s Stars Basketball to operate. As a business we have struggled to remain afloat and we have faced significant challenges both professionally and personally due to this.
We are truly living in unique times and the current pandemic is impacting everyone from our families, to our businesses, to our first responders who are bravely on the front lines. As the situation continues to affect our world, we need to make very difficult decisions that will affect the entire 2020 year as we try wait out this pandemic and hope our return to business is sooner rather than later.
After the suspension of all basketball programs back in March, it was hoped that we would be able to return to the court and continue with all our basketball programs by July 2020. Unfortunately, due to the second wave and subsequent lock downs this has not been the case. With Victoria still facing tough lock downs and isolation it is difficult to provide an accurate date for when programs will resume. We therefore are forced to make this extremely tough decision to postpone all Tomorrow’s Stars Basketball programs till the beginning of 2021.
Having said that, it is hoped from October to December 2020 it may be possible for our private basketball training program to resume with 1-on-1 training sessions, this will only happen if we see a roll back of some of the existing restrictions.
We want to reassure all our customers, families and partners that Tomorrow’s Stars Basketball will be back and more motivated than ever in 2021. It is a very exciting time to look forward to with huge plans as we are currently working very hard behind the scenes to ensure our return lives up to all expectations.
Despite still being in the midst of this global crisis we remain optimistic that 2021 can provide an opportunity for us all to recover and rebuild. It is hoped that restrictions will continue to ease allowing for team sports to begin and that basketball and all of our exciting programs can once again be offered. After the tough year we have had we know that our programs will be able to offer excitement and much needed activity for players.
We really hope that you are all managing to stay positive and safe. As always, we look forward to being able to provide updates for our programs and we can’t wait to see you all again on the court soon. For all customers that have paid for any program, we will continue to honor this with a full 100% credit to any future program or booking and given the uncertainty of the current situation we will be removing all expiry dates to allow more flexibility for our amazing customers.
As per Tomorrow’s Stars Basketball policies which can be found HERE. We are not offering refunds and are definitely not in a position to do so and remain in business.
Tomorrow’s Stars Basketball will be returning with all of our basketball programs from Private Basketball Training, School Holiday Basketball Camps to our highly popular Basketball Tours. Through the course of the New Year we are planning to run additional school holiday basketball camps, expand our private basketball training hours with extra coaching staff and of course the grand opening of the much anticipated TSB Training Felicity in Melbourne which is really going to blow you away.
We are closely monitoring the ongoing Victorian State Government and World Health Organisation advice and will only commence programs once it is deemed safe to do so. Once again, we appreciate your continued patience, support, and cooperation throughout these extremely challenging times. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to our programs when it is safe, practical, and responsible to do so.
We’re all in this together, and we’ll get through this together. Stay safe and healthy, and we wish all the best to our customers, their families, and everyone in between.
